Get motivated, get up, answer your calling and motivate others along the way!

To be an inspiration or motivation to someone is a great achievement in life. We think only the greatly successful and famous are idol that can motivate or inspire people. Life has been tough for them, life has treated them bad and they have surfaced to the horizon, struggling through the dark nights.

But this is not the only definition of anyone who can be a motivator. Anyone can be a motivation, yes people like you and I can inspire others. The scale of motivation or inspiration may be small, but yes, it is true that you can inspire someone.

The other day I saw a post on facebook in which I was tagged. My sister had played some game and the results said, I was her mirror personality. She had put up the post saying I am motivated for being like my Didi – that is what she calls me, meaning elder sister.

I was surprised, yet glad to see that, I could motivate someone. But on further reflection I thought, I don’t need to be someone famous or great to be an inspiration. She has always liked to spend time with me and follow everything I do. She studied whatever I told her, she dressed like me, put on accessories like me, developed confidence, speaking skills, street smartness, and other living traits just like me. Unknowingly she has always tried to be like me.

I am not happy that she is like me, but I am happy that she has picked up all the good traits that I might have showed her while she was growing up. It is not that I want her to be like me, but I am happy that she is motivated to be like me.

Being the eldest in the family, it sets me in the position to become the idol for everyone, and I am glad to know that I have succeeded in doing so to a certain extent.

In the Indian scenario, the eldest sibling has to be the best to set examples for the younger ones, it sometimes seems as a burden, but then today I feel have achieved the difficult task and am glad to know that someone feels motivated by being like me.

Another incident that sets me to believe that everyone can be an inspiration is because we need inspiration for smaller things in life, and those turn out to be the most important. In a simple chat with a friend, she said, she was feeling tired of getting up for yoga in the morning. But then she thought of me and said, this girl gets up at four in the morning to do things for others. Can’t I get up 20 minutes early to fit in my yoga routine? And the only one who will benefit from it will be me.

This is also a form of motivation or inspiration, each one can find reasons to be motivated by others and each one can be an inspiration to others. Feel no less about oneself. Move on, do things you like, achieve you goals, design your destiny, don’t worry about becoming famous or filthy rich to be someone’s motivation. Along the journey of life there will be many things we learn from others and others learn from us.

Get motivated, get up, answer your calling and motivate others along the way!
